JAKE NIEMI BIO
As an indie artist on the rise, Jake’s music has received international FM radio airplay (ABC Radio Networks), internet radio airplay, iTunes podcast airplay, has won international contests (such as being featured as Next Big Hit’s Best of 2006), received 1 rankings on music websites (such as SectionZ.com), was featured in a video game and has been heard around the world in both live venues and on literally THOUSANDS of major websites (myspace, CNET, Download.com). Just try googling “Jake Niemi” and see for yourself!
His tracks are currently gaining serious attention by major labels such as Epic, J Records, Universal, Columbia Records, and Dreamworks, in addition to attention by talent scouts, artist management firms, film/tv music publishing companies, and more.
Since age 8, he has written songs, while singing, playing his own instruments (both live acoustic and digital), and producing his own music, in addition to producing over 25 other artists and bands. Jake also remixed tracks for a Virgin/Atlantic recording artist, distributed internationally through MMD music and Detroit Authentic Records.
Jake Niemi’s inclination towards both melodic song form and cutting-edge music technology has shaped his unique style. Without exception you’ll find him pouring his heart and energy into every note, every word, every beat.
Over a decade of previous radio broadcasting experience yielded a solid understanding of music that works in the mainstream, leading Jake to inject a "commercial" quality and feel into his music production and songwriting.
It doesn’t end there. To make the circle complete, more than anything Jake’s trademark is to make a connection to God and human beings—and to make a difference… with a primary focus on such things (as opposed to money, fame, or success which he considers to be secondary).
The Jake Niemi buzz is all at once a rock star vibe and a feeling of home. You are sure to feel something, and will certainly not walk away unchanged.

**********************************************************

“This artist is definitely a heavyweight and the music we..ve heard from him thus far gives ample evidence of this. [“Lush”] is a great song with a compelling mood. The rich arrangement (reminiscent of Vangelis), catchy melody and a great energy - even in slow songs like this one! All this combines to create a great impact on the listener. Wonderful stuff and easily identifiable as Jake Niemi. More please!”
- ABC Radio Networks
**********************************************************
"That track ["You Lied To Me"] is THE JAM! NIN meets pop. I love it!"
- Scot Alexander (solo artist and member of Dishwalla)
**********************************************************
“You sound amazing! Why aren't you in LA!?"
- Mark McGuinn (top selling solo artist and songwriter for Lonestar and others)
**********************************************************
Brandon Creed of J Records (founded by Clive Davis, long time president of Arista Records) praised Jake’s sound, comparing it to vintage 80's bands like Duran Duran and Tears for Fears.
**********************************************************
Radio Program Directors, such as broadcasting veteren John Shomby have said, "Jake, this stuff is REALLY GOOD... VERY PROGRESSIVE!"
**********************************************************
“One the most frequent things we’ve heard about this artist is, ‘Is this really indie?’ Meaning how can a ..starving artist.. deliver this kind of quality of ‘major-label’ polish? Jake demonstrates that if you have the talent, the vision and the determination, you can create music which is technically every bit as good as anything out there. We love this track, [“Anthem of the Zeroes”]. There..s passion and power here, and it..s also beautifully ..packaged.. for all to thoroughly enjoy!”
- ABC Radio Networks
**********************************************************
“"Your music should definitely be heard! It's way too wonderful to be kept hidden from the world! Hope it gets you far soon!” Leticia Cyrus, wife of Billy Ray Cyrus & mother of Miley Cyrus.
**********************************************************
"Nice tunes! Keep up the good work" Mae (Capitol Records)

I agree that you are an awesome song writer who pours his heart and soul into his music. There is something that clearly stands out about you as a musician and a person that makes me KNOW you will see ALL of your Dreams come true.
I hear channeling going on over here.Jake, if there is no a special girl in your life or was...she is either blind stupid or both. Then again...We can be the most difficult people to understand.Artist. Sure we only reveal what we want them to see, Its safe. Even at times, we think were Open.Nope.It’s living life through my imagination. That is why we are songwriters. You may say you’re not like this but I know different.
